‘Where East meets West’. Blending scrapbook aesthetics with a thoughtful curation of visual essays, interviews, editorials and cultural insights, Taara तारा (meaning ‘star’ in Hindi) seeks to provide a platform for the exchange of creative and critical ideas between cultures.  This third issue features a profile on ‘a day in the studio’ with Pakistani artist Zahra Mansoor, whose tactile paintings touch on themes of liminality and Sufism; a conversation with stylist and photographer Naveli Choyal about sports as a radical act for women in India; plus, Tina Khatri and Salonee Patel talk about the correlation between food and makeup and Vogue India’s former features director, Akanksha Kamath, shares her emerging fashion talent watch list.
